“School bullying” doesn’t just happen in school. Gossip and drama, rumors, passive-aggressiveness, cliques, laughing at someone or judging them unfairly, jealousy and other forms of peer abuse occur in the workplace, too.
Having the tools to intervene effectively, self-advocate with confidence and mitigate issues before they arise are as fundamental to a healthy corporate culture as they are to school culture. I work with organizations to help them identify and address bullying behavior in the workplace and develop solutions that serve the individual and the organization as a whole.
My training programs , presentations and initiatives are based on the basic need in all of us to feel heard, valued and understood and are informed by over two decades of successfully facilitating change in the American school system.
I’ve worked with hundreds of schools on best practices through my anti-bullying program INJJA (It’s NOT Just Joking Around!™). I’ve adapted that program for corporations, drawing upon proven strategies that achieve transformative results.
How Does the INJJA Program Work at the Corporate Level
The program is divided into four phases.
Phase One – audit/assessment phase during which I work with the client to determine their anti-bullying needs. This phase can encompass anything from interviewing leadership and/or team members, anonymous surveys, conversations with HR among other information gathering strategies.
Phase Two – submission of a customized plan of action based on the audit/assessment results that includes presentations, seminars and other trainings that are targeted and specific.
Phase Three – implementation of the plan/presentations.
Phase Four – I provide a comprehensive Digital Resources Package that features all the notes and highlights from the presentation sessions, video tutorials, practice modules, articles and other materials for reinforced and continued enrichment.
